I love to cook. Ok, I love to eat. And I live in the best country in the world for fabulous food. Venice has it’s own cuisine, like checceti (Venetian appetizers), fried fish served in a cone, and of course, the spritz! Ahhh, the spritz. What would i do without you? Part prosecco, part Campari, this late afternoon cocktail is served on the rocks with a splash of soda water and a slice of orange. Heaven.
My friend and chef, Enrica Rocca, loves food so much she’s opened a cooking school. Two actually, one in London and one in Venice. The Enrica Rocca Cooking School could only be the result of this flamboyant, Venice-born woman who mixes art and food like no other. You can quickly see this from her website.
David Baker of the Financial Times, said “Enrica is a passionate chef and restaurateur. She has Italian cooking in her blood and a contagious zest for life and food…” And that’s an understatement.
Her cooking school is an excellent activity for a full- or half-day corporate team-building event or private party. Or skip the cooking and go straight to the wine-tasting class.
Just thinking of food makes me hungry. Time for a spritz!
